Where are you now?

McLaurin High School, Florence, MSĀ

Why did you choose to come to MSU?

Almost everyone in my family graduated from MSU, so in the back of my mind I think I always knew I would end up here. For a time, though, I tried to explore other University's in the Southeast, but none of them felt like home the way Mississippi State did.

How has the METP program enhanced your college experience at Mississippi State?

METP has not only given me great friends that share the same passions as me, but has also allowed me to network with many incredible faculty at MSU and beyond. Also by giving me the opportunity to participate in a number of speakers and events, I have expanded my knowledge outside of the classroom. It's hard for me to picture now, but I know one day METP will change the way we think of education in Mississippi.

What are some of your on-campus involvements outside of METP?

I am a member of the Honors College, Chi Omega Sorority, Music Maker Productions, Roadrunners, SA Cabinet (Bulldog Bash Director), and a counselor at New Maroon Camp 2016.

Please share a funny moment/interesting fact about yourself.

During my first week of school here at MSU I got 6 parking tickets, locked myself out of my dorm twice, and got hit by a biker on the first day of class.
