Where are you now?

Lewisburg High School, Olive Branch, MS

Why did you choose to come to MSU?

I wanted to attend Mississippi State my entire life. My father is an alumni, so I grew up a huge Bulldog fan. It was the day I first toured campus that I really knew MSU was where I wanted to be. I saw that MSU had all the benefits of a large SEC school, while still offering a small school feel. The great atmosphere, in addition to the amazing educational opportunities, made MSU a perfect choice for me.

How has the METP program enhanced your college experience at Mississippi State?

The Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program offered me invaluable experiences that would not be possible otherwise. I learned many skills that would aide me in my future career, all while meeting other people that shared the same interest in Education that I did.

What are some of your on-campus involvements outside of METP?

I was an active member of the Epsilon Eta chapter of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, for whom I also played intramural tennis. I was also a member of Mississippi State’s Shackouls Honors College.

Please share a funny moment/interesting fact about yourself.

My middle name is Faith, after the country singer Faith Hill.
