Where are you now?

Puckett High School,  Brandon, MS

Why did you choose to come to MSU?

I truly felt at home the moment I stepped on the campus for the first time as a "prospective student". Growing up in MS and having family that bleeds maroon & white meant that I was exposed to MSU early on in my life; however, I was able to decide for myself that MSU was the best fit for me and my college experience. I felt welcomed and accepted here, and I knew I would be able to find a place to thrive here at MSU.

How has the METP program enhanced your college experience at Mississippi State?

The MET program gave me opportunities to get into classrooms early on and to meet administration from all over the state. We also were given the chance to work with the Ole Miss scholars and build connections with future educators outside of Mississippi State.

What are some of your on-campus involvements outside of METP?

I was involved in the Chi Omega sorority, and I was also a College of Education Ambassador.

Please share a funny moment/interesting fact about yourself.

All four of my grandparents were educators, but neither one of my parents are.
