Why did you choose to come to MSU?

MSU has always been home to me. My parents both went to Mississippi State, and they took me to the occasional football or baseball game to get a feel of the experience. I attended Junior Preview Day as well as an Academic Insight Day my senior year. Mississippi State welcomed me with open arms, and I felt comfortable there. With the staff and professors, I knew they would be able to work with me with the things that I struggle with as well as help me pursue my life long dream of becoming a math teacher.

How did the METP program enhance your college experience at Mississippi State?

There are not enough words to describe how good METP has been to me. The older students helped me through registering for classes and getting accustomed to life at MSU and college in general; they were mentors for the younger students. METP is a family at your new home.

What are some of your on-campus involvements outside of METP?

Kappa Delta Pi and MSAE

What do you want people to know about you?

I love my dogs and my school. I want to travel everywhere!

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

It is okay to "not know". Enjoy this time in your life. Spend time on yourself. Don't forget about your parents.
