Why did you choose Education? I decided to pursue a degree in education after prior experiences working with children and enjoying the idea of seeing improvement in children as an effect of my efforts. The teachers at my high school, especially my English teachers, had a great influence on my decision to become a teacher. Their passion for the subjects they teach and their mentorship have made a lasting impression on me, and I look forward to doing the same for my students in the future. English has always been the subject most enjoyable to me, and I want to be able to share my passion for the English language and writing with others!

Why are you passionate about teaching? I am passionate about the profession of teaching because of the impact I can potentially make on future generations through enriching minds and increasing knowledge.

What made you choose MSU? I chose Mississippi State for the welcoming atmosphere of the campus! I truly felt at home at MSU, and every student and faculty member I met was so inviting.

What activities and organizations are you involved in? I am a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, the Shackouls Honors College, and Student Association.
