Where are you now? Southaven Middle School, Southaven, MS

Why did you choose to come to MSU? I chose to go to Mississippi State University because it was only an hour drive from my family, and I was very familiar with Starkville. I had been to Starkville and MSU several times growing up so close. My mother is a MSU graduate. She did not push me to enroll in MSU, but it helped that she was also familiar with campus and could show me around. Another reason I chose MSU was because of the MET Program.

How did the METP enhance your college experience at Mississippi State? By being accepted into the MET program, the financial burden of college expenses was lightened.This allowed me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. The generosity of this program  inspired me to continue helping others and giving back to the community. I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as the MET program  helped me.

What were some of your other involvements on campus? I was a member of Shackouls Honors College.

Funny moment/Interesting Fact? In high school, I was a member of our tennis team for four years, and one year, I competed in every possible position.
