Where are you now? Stonebridge Elementary School, Brandon, MS

Why did you choose to come to MSU? I chose to come to MSU because I loved the people and the campus. When I toured and visited on multiple occasions, I was amazed at how the campus seemed like a family. My tour guide had multiple people run up to her and she seemed to know everyone. I felt it was a great community where I would find my place. With the METP scholarship, I was able to come to my dream school.

How did the METP enhance your college experience at Mississippi State? METP enhanced my college experience at MSU by providing me with opportunities I would otherwise not have had. It allowed me to be debt free for which I am very grateful. METP planned many exclusive events which were very educational and enjoyable. I am very appreciative of this opportunity.

What do you want people to know about you? I enjoy being outside in nature, spending time with family and friends, and working with children. I have been in choir since third grade, and music plays a big role in my life. I pursued a music minor. I am very excited to teach in the state of Mississippi and would love to incorporate music into my teaching.

What were some of your other involvements on campus? I was a College of Education Ambassador and a member of the Shackhouls Honors College. I was a member of the Mississippi State Association of Educators, Women of State, and the Future Educators Association. I was involved in the Baptist Student Union and Sigma Phi Lambda.

Funny moment/Interesting Fact? I clog, and I have traveled to Italy, Japan, and many states in the U.S. singing with the Alabama Choir School.
