Where are you now? Byram Middle School in Byram, MS

Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education? I decided to come to MSU to pursue a degree in education because teaching was something I had always been passionate about, and I could not find a more welcoming environment to get my teaching degree at anywhere else. 

What do you want people to know about you? I am a huge nerd: even though I got my degree in elementary education, I would pursue a degree in every subject if it only took four years. Four years was the status quo, however, so I went forward with my elementary education degree and got my 7-12 math endorsement along the way!

What activities were you involved in on campus (outside of METP)? I was extremely involved with the Baptist Student Union and also was a student in the Honors College.

What advice would you give high school seniors that are getting ready for college? I would tell high school seniors to enjoy high school while it lasts. Despite how much you hate it now, you will never have another time like it in your life, even when you are a college student with your whole life ahead of you.
