Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I loved the community of people at Mississippi State. I also loved how it had the resources of a very large school. I loved how the school had the feel of a tight-knit, supportive community while also having the advantages of a large school through its many opportunities and available resources. I also heard amazing things about the Education program. I had wanted to be a teacher for a long time because I had a passion for helping kids. Through tutoring and babysitting I realized how much I loved spending times with kids and guiding them through academics and life in general.

What do you want people to know about you?

I may come off a bit shy when you first meet me, but I actually love meeting new people.

Who has had the biggest impact on your life? Why?

My grandmother has had the biggest impact on my life. She was a teacher, and she always taught me to be caring and selfless. She always loved others and put others ahead of herself. My grandmother helped shape me into the person I am today, and I am so beyond thankful for her.
