Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I have felt a strong passion for education and working with children for as long as I can remember. Mississippi States's education program was one of the strongest in the State! I believed that I would leave Mississippi State throughly equipped to shape my students' futures through the power of education.

What do you want people to know about you?

I love spreading the love and joy of Christ, snow cones are my favorite food, and my dream is to one day teach in Rwanda!

Who has had the biggest impact on your life? Why?

My mom has had the biggest impact on my life.  She has always instilled in me the importance of hard work, compassion for others, and following where the Lord leads.  As an educator herself, through my mom, I have witnessed just how much power teachers possess to change the world through the impact they have on their students.  Her passion and commitment are daily inspirations of the kind of teacher I aspire to be.
