Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

The MET prgram initially drew me in, but when I came up for a tour, I fell in love with the campus.

What do you want people to know about you?

I always knew I wanted a careeer where I could help people every day and that I wanted to work with people who have different abilities than myself.  I tried to fight the "teacher calling" inside of me for so long, but once I started helping out in my high school's self-contained class, I instantly felt at home and knew that's where I needed to be.  I'm incredibly eager to attend Mississippi State and even more so to become a teacher.

Who has had the biggest impact on your life? Why?

My younger sister Emily has had the biggest impact on my life.  She has shown me unconditional love.  She truly is an unwavering source of joy. She is the reason I want to work in the special needs community.

What activities are you currently involved in?
