Where are you now?

Northwest Rankin Elementary School in Flowood, MS

Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

The atmosphere and the people make MSU what it is. It was like a home away from home, which made it even easier to choose MSU. The atmosphere and the people made MSU a great place to better my education. I have always had a passion for helping others, and the best way I saw I could do that was through education.

What do you want people to know about you?

I am an 'extroverted' introvert. I love people, and I love to hang out with my friends, but sometimes I like to be by myself and relax. I was my high-school's student director for the Performing Arts program and that made me love theatre and musicals. I love to read, and I love music!

Who has had the biggest impact on your life? Why?

Nathan Stamper, one of the teachers at my school, made the biggest impact on my life. He guided me in finding who I was and helped me answer questions about my faith. He was the person that held me accountable to how I was living. He pushed me to be the best version of myself, and that is why he made the biggest impact on my life.
