Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I decided to pursue education at the beginning of my senior year.  Being in education is a job that is much bigger than yourself.  I wanted a platform where I could help better prepare the youth of the next generation.  When it came to picking a school, Mississippi State is the best campus that I visited during my time of searching.  Everyone I met at MSU was so kind, welcoming, and genuine.  It felt like the home from the first time I stepped foot here.

What do you want people to know about you?

I think people should definitely know that I am an extrovert!  If you ever see me around campus, please come and talk to me! I love making new friends.  I am also involved in the Baptist Student Union (BSU) and Freshman Reach.  If you have any questions about those organizations or getting involved, talk to me!

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

My best advice for entering freshmen is to GET INVOLVED!  College is so much fun, and it is such an awesome experience, but it is only as good as you make it.  I have learned that getting involved in different organizations and putting yourself out there makes the college experience a million times better!
