Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I felt at home when coming to Mississippi State and felt that I could really thrive as a student here.  The education department at the preview days made me feel so welcome.  There are so many opportunities through the College of Education to network with students and others.  I wanted to become a teacher ever since my sophomore year in high school.  I believed I could gain the right tools through MSU's College of Education.

What do you want people to know about you?

I am a Chemistry 1 SI Leader where I sit in a lecture for a class I have already taken, and then host a study session for that class.

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

Be open minded when deciding on a college and a career path.  Do not limit yourself on just one place or thing because it can totally change when you get to college.  Also, invest in a planner!  That will help you keep up with both your class work and your extra curricular activities!
