Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

My father came before me, and I've heard great things about the program.

What do you want people to know about you?

I have a deep love for music and literature, and teaching has always been a passionof mine.  I served as my high school's drum major for three years and hope to continue that at MSU. I chose to audition for that position in the Famous Maroon Band.  Secondary Education has always been where I believe I should be, and I can't wait to open up the eyes of my students to see the bigger picture in anything they come across in life. 

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

Keep your head up; things will get hard, but it's worth it in the end to look back on what you have done and see what all you can accomplish.
