Why did you decide to come to MSU and pursue a degree in education?

I decided to come to MSU to pursue my degree in education because I saw online just how many outreach opportunities there were in and around Starkville for the youth.  I also knew from my older classmates that are also in education that we begin observing in a classroom as soon as possible at MSU in order to gain more knowledge and experience within education.  This excited me, and that is when I knew I wanted to attend Mississippi State.

What do you want people to know about you?

I want people to know that I love attending church, and I am very active in the Baptist Student Union on MSU's campus.  I love building relationships with others and meeting new people.  I have one sister, one other brother, and a twin brother, so I am extremely close to my family.

What advice would you give to entering freshmen or students finishing up high school?

One piece of advice I would give to an entering freshmen or students finishing up high school and attending college would be to keep an open mind and think positively.  It is easy to come to school as a college student now and become overwhelmed with the number of tasks that we have to do, but surrounding yourself with others who encourage you and support you goes a long away!  Be open to meeting new people, and always have a positive attitude no matter the situation!
